we interrupt this blog for gallbladder surgery..

I'm typing this from a hospital bed.
I called 9-1-1 last night in excruciating pain.
I had an ultrasound that showed no stones but the gall bladder is elongated or swollen.
I was released from the emergency room, at midnight, with instructions to return if the pain was worse or if I developed a fever of over 100 degrees.
I was still in a lot of pain. Breathing and walking were difficult and I was not comfortable to be going home. I was supposed to follow-up with a surgeon in the morning.
Two hours after I got home, I had that 100+ degree fever. By 4am, I woke up shaking and freezing, with a temperature of 103.4!
Back to the emergency room.. agonizing trip!
They admitted me for observation.
The surgeon finally arrived when I was trying to post this blog entry. He made me feel hopeful that we'd be having surgery tomorrow morning. Then he went to see the ultrasound and came back and said that it was enlarged, but in general, looked fine!
He ordered a nuclear test that could prove my gall bladder is broken. I have to go without pain medicine as that interrupts with the test. So, I'm hoping we do it soon, now, before I go back to being unable to breathe in pain, again.
He scheduled the surgery for tomorrow morning because its easier to cancel it than it is to try to schedule it late.
I just want them to find out what is wrong, because something is clearly wrong.
I'll check back in when I come up for air or have more information. If I have surgery in the morning, he says that I'll be here for five days.
Be good! *hugz* ~Heidi

More about Heidi..

I found this on Kristi's page.. OOPS Get yours here!

About me:

There are 21 letters in your name.
Those 21 letters total to 108
There are 10 vowels and 11 consonants in your name.

What your first name means:
GermanFemaleNoble. The German form of Adelaide. Famous bearer: heroine of Johanna Spyri's classic children's novel 'Heidi'.
FrenchFemaleVariant of Adelaide: Nobility. French form of the Old German Adalheidis, a compound of 'athal' (noble) and 'haida' (hood). Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, was named after Queen Adelaide, 19th century King William IV's consort.

Your number is: 9
The characteristics of #9 are: Humanitarian, giving nature, selflessness, obligations, creative expression.
The expression or destiny for #9:

The expression that you exhibit is represented by the number 9. Your talents center in humanistic interests and approaches. You like to help others as you were intended to be the 'big brother or big sister' type. You operate best when you follow your feelings and sense of compassion, and allow yourself to be sensitive to the needs of others. You work well with people, and have the potential to inspire. This suggests that you could successfully teach or counsel. Creative ability, imagination and artistic talent (often latent) of the highest order are present in this expression. It's possible that you're not using or developing all of these capabilities at this time. Some of your talents may have been used at an earlier time in your life, and some may still be latent. Be aware of your capabilities, so that you can make use of them at appropriate times.

If you are able to achieve the potential of your natural expression in this life, you are capable of much human understanding and have a lot to give to others. Your personal ambitions are likely to be maintained in a very positive perspective, never losing sight of an interest in people, and a sympathetic, tolerant, broad-minded and compassionate point of view. You are quite idealistic, and disappointed at the lack of perfection in the world. You have a strong awareness of your own feeling as well as those of others. Friendships, affection, and love are extremely important.
Undeveloped or ignored, the negative side of the 9 expression can be very selfish and self-centered. If you do not actively involve yourself with work that benefits others, you may tend to express just the opposite characteristics. It is your role to be very involved with other people and their needs, but it may be difficult for you achieve this role. Aloofness, lack of involvement, and a lack of sensitivity mark the low road of this expression.
Your Soul Urge number is: 3
A Soul Urge number of 3 means:

With the Soul Urge number 3 your desire in life is personal expression, and generally enjoying life to its fullest. You want to participate in an active social life and enjoy a large circle of friends. You want to be in the limelight, expressing your artistic or intellectual talents. Word skills may be your thing; speaking, writing, acting, singing. In a positive sense, the 3 energy is friendly, outgoing and always very social.

You have a decidedly upbeat attitude that is rarely discouraged; a good mental and emotional balance.
The 3 Soul Urge gives intuitive insight, thus, very high creative and inspirational tendencies. The truly outstanding trait shown by the 3 Soul Urge is that of self-expression, regardless of the field of endeavor.
On the negative side, you may at times become too easygoing and too optimistic, tending to scatter forces and accomplish very little. Often, the excessive 3 energy produces non-stop talkers. Everyone has faults, but the 3 soul urge doesn't appreciate having these pointed out.
Your Inner Dream number is: 6
An Inner Dream number of 6 means:

You dream of guiding and fostering the perfect family in the perfect home. You crave the devotion from offspring and a loving spouse. You picture yourself in the center of a successful domestic unit.

Heidiology

Heidiology (found this on Kristi's page)

Let others know a little more about yourself, repost this as your name followed by “ology.”

MOUTHOLOGY

Q. What is your salad dressing of choice?
A. In a restaurant: balsamic vinaigrette! At home: Creamy Italian made at home with Ken's Light Northern Italian, yum!

Q. What is your favorite fast food restaurant?
A. Arby's

Q. What is your favorite sit-down restaurant?
A. Olive Garden

On average, what size tip do you leave at a restaurant?
A. I believe in over-tipping when its deserved, and in requesting the same wait-staff when I return. This usually comes back to benefit us, in return. We don't wait in lines to "pay", we just pass it along with the usual, "thank you", and we are taken well care of, this way. I used to pay a percentage, of minimum 20%, now we consider more in our tips. I've learned a lot, listening to waitresses talk, one time. They don't care the cost of your bill. They care that they are "thanked" for what they've done for you. So, you could go sit for coffee, with a friend, and they'd work hard to refill you and ask you if you need things, and yet your bill would be low. So, I consider time, when I'm having business "meetings" too (how much did I cost them to tie up this booth that group that fit it would pay?). A general thumb, for us, in smaller establishments, since we don't eat out much anymore, is to leave a similar tip, no matter what the bill. $5 speaks for a quick lunch, whether there are 2 or 3 of us. I firmly believe that those who require a minimum tip of 20% for parties of 8 or more and add it to the bill before I see it, would get more if they didn't do that to me! I never leave less than 20%, and leaving a penny on top of your tip, is a compliment. If your service is very poor, 10% is the amount of your bill that the help-staff must claim as a tip, to their employer, whether you leave it or not. I would never not leave 10% because that amount is their pay, and the industry is really underpaying them (are you aware of their hourly rates? I was shocked to find out!) and everyone has a bad day. (and again, those who work in customer service that hate people, should stay home! LOL)

Q. What food could you eat every day for two weeks and not get sick off of?
A. Salad or Seafood

Q. What are your pizza toppings of choice?

So, in true blogger fashion, I stole this from Douggie! Loved your answers, Doug!

A few months ago, I had this dream that I was back in Cali helping someone in a store, that spoke no English.. when I woke up, a lot of my Spanish memory had returned. Ironically, I also have this little problem of signing the wrong name, in public, at check-out register's, now, too, though. I always attempt to sign the name that I had when I spoke more Spanish.
